Nikki Bella and John Cena are over (again)

If you thought the drama-filled relationship between professional wrestlers Nikki Bella and John Cena was over, well, you were correct. Sorry, kids.

After the conclusion of the Total Bellas season finale, TMZ reported that done is really done this time around.

“The relationship has finally gone kaput because they’ve grown apart ... figuratively and quite literally,” the website said.

But didn’t they already break up? Yes, yes they did, but not all the way. Let’s recap.

The two first became an item in 2012. After years of dating, Cena proposed to Bella, finally, at Wrestlemania 33 in 2017, but this past April they called off the wedding, just a month before the “I do” date. Then they kind of got back together at the end of May.

“Calling off the wedding was the right decision at the moment and their relationship only grew from it,” an insider told Us Weekly at the time. But then Bella released a video saying they were “just friends.”

Sigh. Crazy kids.

Fast-forward to Sunday night, when the Total Bellas season finale aired and viewers got to see the break-up play out in front of them.

“John and I called the wedding off,” Nikki said during the episode. “I don’t know if that’s gonna be something that I’m gonna really regret. I just might have made the worst decision of my life or I might have just made the best decision of my life and I guess only time will tell.”

TMZ’s “Nikki sources” said that watching the episode made her remember how unhappy she was during the transition period.

Her sister Brie Bella went to Twitter on Sunday night to offer support, saying she “hated seeing my sister’s fairy tale end.”

Nikki is now focusing on her career, TMZ said. And, well, moving out of Cena’s home.
