Lindsay Lohan’s stepmum accused of kicking officer

Actress Lindsay Lohan’s stepmother is accused of assaulting a police officer following a domestic disturbance in South Florida.

Jail records show 33-year-old Kate Lohan was arrested on Sunday on charges of disorderly intoxication and battery on a law enforcement officer.

News media outlets report arrest documents say officers arriving at a Delray Beach home found Kate yelling and apparently drunk. Police say her husband, Michael Lohan, Lohan’s father, refused to let her inside his home.

Police say Kate threatened to throw a bag of ice in an officer’s face. She was arrested after trying to lunge past an officer to get inside the home.

While walking her to a patrol car, police say Kate kicked an officer in the leg.

Kate told the Sun Sentinel she was trying to protect herself.
