Kieran Culkin and Elle Fanning join 'Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping' cast

'Succession' star, Culkin, will play the younger version of Stanley Tucci’s character

Dubai: The latest addition to the Hunger Games series, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, has some of the biggest names in the industry joining the cast and we’re excited.

Lionsgate UK has been revealing the new cast of the upcoming movie over the past few weeks on their social media. The most recent announcements include Elle Fanning and Kieran Culkin.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which is the prequel to the film franchise, will feature younger versions of some of the most memorable characters from the Hunger Games film series which starred Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.

The new cast includes Kieran Culkin as the younger version of Caesar Flickerman, the masochistic TV personality which was previously played by Stanley Tucci. Another couple of major cast announcements included Elle Fanning as the younger version of Effie Trinket, previously played by Elizabeth Banks. And Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow, previously played by the late actor Donald Sutherland.

The events in the prequel film, based on author Suzanne Collins’ Sunrise on the Reaping, is set to take place 24 years prior to the original Hunger Games (2012).

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is set to hit the screens on November 20, 2026.
