Shaikh Zayed Road’s DIFC area: Check. Downtown Dubai: Check. After filming in two iconic Dubai neighbourhoods, production of Jackie Chan’s next action flick, Kung Fu Yoga, moved south to the Jumeirah Lake Towers area, more popularly known as JLT, on Monday.

The same helicopter that was spotted on Friday on Shaikh Zayed Road was seen fluttering over the G Cluster of the development, apparently filming a vertical shot. While Chan or co-star Sony Sood, the Bollywood actor who is rumoured to be playing the villain, were nowhere to be seen on Monday, the martial arts icon was spotted on Saturday in Downtown Dubai filming alongside a line-up of luxury cars. The film is a co-production between China and India.

An eyewitness told us Chan and crew had been filming since early morning. Pictures showed Chan being shielded from the sun by an assistant with an umbrella, before filming his scenes. The scenes apparently included a three-car chase scene that involved a vehicle with Dubai Police markings, also seen in the pictures.

Confusion has also surrounded the shoots since the cast and crew of Star Trek Beyond are also in the city for a two-week filming schedule, which is rumoured to include a vast soundstage in Studio City, and the spaceship-like Meydan Racecourse area.
