It had been a while, but BTS' V finally “came home,” as ARMY likes to say—meaning fans were thrilled to hear from him again. The vocalist, born Kim Taehyung, had phones buzzing as he responded to notifications on the Weverse app.

His post read, “This is Sergeant Kim, reporting that he is alive and well.” He also mentioned “D-107,” marking the days left in his military service. Reassuring fans, he added, “I’ll see you healthy and will take care of myself. As the fearsome winter passes, we will welcome the warm spring…”

Excited ARMYs flooded Weverse with messages, with one expressing just how much they missed him. V replied that he missed ARMY just as much and teased that he had “a lot of military stories” to share. “Stay tuned,” he wrote. Fans also requested more photos, especially since he’s reportedly bulked up in the military. In true V fashion, he playfully teased a fan’s camera quality as ‘vintage’, a moment that reminded ARMY of BTS’ Suga cracking up at a flip phone during his D-DAY concert.

V also shared several photos on his Instagram account.

V enlisted for his mandatory military service in 2023 alongside BTS leader RM, followed by Jimin and Jungkook the next day. The eldest member, Jin, completed his service in June 2024, and J-Hope returned in October. The band is set for a full reunion in June 2025.
