The eldest member talks about how precious the members are to him in new video
It’s clear that the eldest member, Jin, is feeling emotional about it too. During an appearance on the Japanese variety show Since Those Days, hosted by Arashi’s Masaki Aiba, Jin opened up in a rare and deeply heartfelt moment. As part of the episode, Jin experienced a traditional Japanese tea ceremony for the very first time. While the setting was meant to be lighthearted and cultural, it quickly turned poignant when Aiba posed a simple yet meaningful question: “What does the team mean to Jin?”
Usually known for his playful charm and calm presence, Jin surprised both Aiba and the audience with a moment of vulnerability. “I think the team is made up of people who can make up for the things I lack,” he said with quiet sincerity. “They’re the ones who give me strength.”
Jin, visibly emotional, added, “If a member said they were sick, I think I’d even be willing to give them a kidney. That’s how precious they are to me.”
Needless to say, this confession left ARMY truly emotional, with many recalling all the times how Jin has quietly taken care of the members, when they were tired, sick, or burnt out. “In a world where people's own family members don't stay with them in sickness, jin saying that he would gladly give the members his kidney if they required one has truly broken me, I can't,” one fan wrote.
