BTS star's new album, Echo will release on May 16
As Jin’s album Echo release date nears, the anticipation regarding his songs are almost reaching a feverish pitch, especially the latest teaser of Don’t Say You Love Me, which stars actress Shin Se-kyung. ARMY’s reactions deserve an entire book, as it ranges from wild theories with many hoping that it is a heart-warming love story between the two, while others are more excited about the HYYH connection, a reference to the band’s storytelling era that spawned the game BTS Universe, something that fans have never quite moved on from. “The red diary from the BTS universe is back,” noted one fan. “Maybe he has to go back in time and save her,” another added.
Meanwhile, there’s the lot who enjoys quite a few chuckles imagining that the song is just Jin telling Shin Se-yung that he is married to a tuna---considering Jin has dedicated several songs for his love for fish, to the point he almost proposes to one in his song, Super Tuna. "He has to choose between the tuna and her," one wrote. There was such discourse that one ARMY addressed it to Jin who had to wearily reply, "I never married a tuna."
One of the most entertaining tweets read, “I don’t care if it’s about the fish, but I just want the girl to cross the road properly, because this time, she is dragging Jin along with her,” referring to the poster, where the two are running and holding hands. “This is going to be a whole movie isn’t it,” one added.
Meanwhile, others are convinced that the BTS star has 72 hours a day, as that seems to be the only explanation for how he has managed to fit in all his variety shows, as well as make an album, and still promote it. “He really is the epitome of never let them know your next move. Man randomly dropped a second album, a whole tour announcement, decided to go full country for one of the songs on his album and is also doing Run Jin with Tom Cruise.”
Jin’s album Echo releases on May 16, a month ahead of the BTS reunion after their military service, for which the countdown has already begun.
