Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Starzplay): Whenever things in life are a little hectic for me in life, I find myself drifting back to the familiar Harry Potter series. The first Harry Potter film came out when I was 10 years old, so it feels very nostalgic for me and calming to watch. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone is based on J. K. Rowling's 1997 novel of the same name. Daniel Radcliffe plays Harry Potter, while Rupert Grint plays Ron Weasley and Emma Watson plays Hermione Granger in the film. It tells the tale of Harry Potter's first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, during which he learns that he is a famous wizard and begins his formal wizarding education. It’s not levi-osaa, it's leviosa.

Bulbbul (Netflix): This horror story is frightening for a number of ways not least because the protagonist is a ‘demon’ who kills men. This is a period piece that deals with child marriage, sexism and trauma. But for all that, it has heart.
