Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra and singer-actress Monica Dogra have bagged nominations at the Europe Music Awards 2015 under the Best India Act category, a sub-category of the worldwide act.

Chopra, 33, and 32-year-old Dogra were nominated by VH1 along with three other Indian artists — Indus Creed, Your Chin and The Ska Vengers.

The winner of the sub-category will then compete with the winners from across the globe to become one of the six worldwide act finalists.

The final winner will be announced at the main awards to be held in Milan, Italy, on October 25.

Chopra started her music career with the song In My City in 2012. It was followed by her second song Exotic, featuring American rapper Pitbull.

Monica, an American singer of Indian origin, is the co-founder of Mumbai-based electronic group Shaa’ir+Func.

In 2007, the group released their first album New Day: The Love Album, followed by Light Tribe in 2008 and Mantis in 2010.

Dogra sang Dooriyan Bhi Hai Zaroori with Vishal Dadlani in the film Break Ke Baad and a song in Arjun Rampal film Inkaar.
