Prakash Mehra’s son Amit dies

Amit Mehra, son of producer-director Prakash Mehra died on Sunday after suffering a heart attack. He was 40.

“Sad news producer-director Prakash Mehra’s son Amit passed away this morning,” a source close to the family said.

Mehra’s other sons are Sumeet and Puneet.

Actor Vindu Dara Singh paid tribute to Amit on Twitter. “RIP Amit Mehra, son of Prakash Mehra ji too early to leave at this young age,” he posted.

Amit was involved in a legal tussle with scriptwriter Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar over the remake of his father’s film Zanjeer in 2013 starring Priyanka Chopra and Ram Charan.
