A social activist has accused Babu of being responsible urging authorities to investigate

More than two decades after the tragic plane crash that claimed the life of Kannada actor Soundarya, a fresh complaint has been lodged against veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu.
According to reports, a social activist has accused Babu of being responsible for the accident and has urged authorities to investigate the matter.
Soundarya, a beloved figure in South Indian cinema, died in a plane crash on April 17, 2004, alongside her brother and others while en route from Bengaluru to campaign for a Telangana-based political party. The accident, which reportedly left no concrete evidence behind, also resulted in the death of then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
The complainant, a resident of Satyanarayanapuram village in Khammam district, has approached the police, alleging potential foul play in the incident. He has also claimed that Mohan Babu had threatened him and has sought police protection for his safety.
Furthermore, in his letter, the activist alleged that prior to her death, Mohan Babu had pressured Soundarya to sell a six-acre guest house in Jallepalli, Shamshabad. However, her brother Amarnath reportedly refused the sale. The activist claims that Babu has been occupying the property and has demanded that the government seize it.
He has called for a thorough investigation into the case and appropriate legal action against Mohan Babu.
As of now, the veteran actor—known for his numerous antagonist roles in South Indian films—has not responded to the allegations.
