The GoPro is the camera we all love to abuse. It’s sturdy, compact and it even shoots in ultra-high (4k) resolution. Of course you pay a hefty price for this, usually around Dh1,400.

So why would GoPro release a camera that only shoots in 2560x1440 (Quad HD), when everyone else is so focused on 4K?

First, because GoPro knows that most of its users like to upload their videos to YouTube, which prefers lower resolutions. What’s the point of recording in 4K if you’re only going to upload at 1280 x 720p?

Second, because it only costs about Dh750.

You can check out our video and see if that resolution is good for what you like to record. If not, there is always the Dh1,400 option.
