Dubai: Dubai’s global technology ambitions took center stage in Berlin as the first-ever GITEX Europe officially opened in the heart of Europe’s largest economy. Spearheaded by the Dubai World Trade Centre, the landmark event marks a bold new chapter for the UAE’s digital expansion and cross-border innovation drive.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy, hailed the momentous moment.

“The UAE and Dubai are shaping the global tech future—building cross-continental bridges, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable growth. This is how Dubai builds tomorrow—together.”

Leading the UAE’s charge in Berlin is a powerhouse delegation of 65+ organisations, making it one of the largest entrepreneurship and digital investment missions of its kind. The delegation is headed by Alia Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, underlining the country’s commitment to global tech leadership.
