Infusion Group for web

An iftar event by Infusion Group Dubai took place in Dubai Sheraton Hotel, Mall of Emirates last week. Guests from Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait had made a special effort to attend this prestigious event, with several key players from the energy industry keen to hear of the progress of Infusion Group, and in particular, its founder, Waseem Ashraf Qureshi, inventor of one of the world’s most advanced battery systems, the Sirius Energy Storage.

The event included a speech in which Bilal Sheikh, Group COO, announced groundbreaking achievements of the UAE based technology, which include its current footprint in 54 countries across the globe. Bilal went on to congratulate Infusion Group's new partnership in Turkey with VERA Elektromekanik, describing how significant it was for a UAE manufactured technology in the energy storage and renewable energy space to partner in a strategic geographic territory such as Turkey.

"This is the corridor to Europe and Central Asia for us, which allows us to further bridge our supply chain in new territories," said Bilal. CEO and inventor, Waseem Ashraf Qureshi then took the podium describing how he had started from humble beginnings in Al Qusais to then go on to develop and currently oversee a manufacturing facility on 5.6 acres of land that exports products from the UAE across the world.

“When we first launched our unique energy storage technology, we were told this is too good to be true, now we are exporting to 54 countries, scaling up production to meet demand. We can hold our chest high and say we have done it," said Qureshi.

"Sirius is the future of energy storage, its ability to work in extreme temperatures, its 1 million charge and discharge cycles or 45 years or life of up to 45 years, 99.1 per cent round trip efficiency, DOD of 100 per cent and ultra-fast charging rates are unmatched by any technology in the world,” added Qureshi during his speech.

Qureshi briefed the gathering on the new technology he was working on, in particular the Solid State Battery that he claimed would be a game changer in the automotive EV industry.

“I am very proud to have been able to achieve all of this in the UAE, this country has been an enormous support system,” Qureshi mentioned. The ceremonies where concluded by the CEO of VERA Elektromeknik, Dursun Ozeroglu giving a speech on how lucky he was to be able to become the reseller for Turkey and Central Asia for the Infusion Group, and the significance this had on the current legislation in Turkey on renewable energy. “This is an important alliance for Turkey and the UAE,” said Ozeroglu.

The event concluded with Ozeroglu gifting Qureshi an Islamic art piece as a gesture to celebrate the partnership between both organisations, and the mutual goodwill enjoyed by the UAE and Turkey.
