De Montfort University Leicester, globally renowned for its quality education and industry-focused approach, has announced Professor Michael Gallimore as the new Head of Campus for DMU Dubai.
Professor Gallimore will be responsible for creating a community of participation, fairness and collective responsibility, transforming individual lives and championing a fair and sustainable society.
He will also focus on launching new initiatives to expand student opportunities, foster innovation, and human capital development and tackle global challenges through education.
In response to his appointment, Professor Gallimore said: "It's a privilege for me to be leading the DMU Dubai Campus as the university embarks on the next phase of its growth in transnational education. I’m very much looking forward to working with the team to establish an outstanding U.K. higher education experience for students - continuing the reputation for excellence that DMU has built so well over the last 150 years - and supporting economic development in the UAE through highly skilled graduates, industry engagement, and high impact research.”
Simon Bradbury, Pro Vice-Chancellor International at DMU, is also relocating to Dubai to take on the role of Provost Overseas, working closely with Professor Gallimore.
