Dubai: Bee’ah, the Sharjah-based sustainability services provider, has teamed up with Polyeco for an “alternative” raw material facility at its waste management complex in Al Sa’jaa. It will be operational this month.

The entities will explore future collaboration in waste management solutions for marine pollution as per the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL), to which the UAE is a signatory.

The new facility will treat and process maritime waste and marine-related hazardous waste. The zero-waste process produces a byproduct of alternative raw materials.

Bee’ah and Polyeco will also explore other areas of possible collaboration in maritime pollution such as oil spill response services and green ship recycling.

According to Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee’ah, “Bee’ah is a staunch believer in the necessity of co-creation and a holistic approach to solving the world’s greatest environmental challenges.”
