UPPERCASE—a high-tech consulting group based in Dubai—has launched UPPERSETUP, a new AI-powered platform for business setup and management in the UAE. The startup has already received an investment of $1,500,000, with plans to invest an additional $3,000,000 of its own funds over the next two years.
Vitaliy Chiryassov, the founder of UPPERSETUP, aims to disrupt the traditional business consulting industry and revolutionize how entrepreneurs incorporate businesses in the Emirates.
“When users log into UPPERSETUP, they receive a personalized roadmap for starting their business. Based on the type of business, the platform outlines the necessary licenses, the required documents, where to file them, and the associated costs. The core product, UPPERSETUP's big database, is completely free,” says Chiryassov.
Currently, UPPERSETUP holds comprehensive data on 15 free zones and mainlands, with plans to cover nearly all active free zones by the end of the year. The platform also includes detailed descriptions of over 5,000 products approved by service providers. The startup has established cooperation agreements with 15 institutional regulators, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information is available.
"We've taken our six years of business consulting experience in the UAE and packaged it into a smart algorithm that learns about your business and provides tailored, step-by-step advice on how and where to incorporate it," says Chiryassov.
"We also help users choose between mainland or free zone incorporation. In the case of free zone incorporation, we provide a list of suitable locations,” he added.
Chiryassov believes that many entrepreneurs are looking for a middle ground between full consulting services and managing everything themselves.
UPPERCASE, the parent company of UPPERSETUP, has already helped 1,000 clients enter or establish themselves in the UAE market. By the end of the year, Chiryassov predicts the company will have acquired 500 new clients. While the traditional business is performing well, Chiryassov sees a gap in the market:
“Traditional consulting is very expensive and isn't suitable for all businesses, especially SMBs. On the other end of the spectrum, trying to do everything without assistance can be incredibly time-consuming and error-prone.”
