Dubai: Telecom operators du and etisalat have announced that they teamed up with Dubai Properties to provide smart ICT infrastructure for its upcoming realty projects. The move is part of more than 50 projects under Taawun agreement, a joint initiative between the operators — from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, to support the vision of the government in developing a smart telecom infrastructure across the UAE. The agreement is estimated to benefit more than 100,000 people living and working in the nearly 20,000 Dubai Properties-owned units by 2022. It will provide customers, both residential and business, with the option to select the telecom service provider of their choice.
