German tuner Brabus has entered the armored vehicles business with its new Invicto line of bulletproof cars. It has totally overhauled the Mercedes-Benz G63 making it even tougher than it already was...

For those seeking the maximum in protection from attacks, Brabus offers the Invicto VR6 Plus ERV (Explosion Resistant Vehicle) package.

The base Invicto Pure model has the maximum level of protection - not that you'd know it because the exterior and interior remain as close to a stock G-Class as possible.

Some of the features for all three lines includes lighting and signal systems, auxiliary roof lights, a fire extinguishing system, an IR package including a night vision device, a fresh air system with ABC filter or an escape hatch.

Obviously, the armoring and extra features adds extra weight to the G-Class, but we're not talking 100kg or 200kg - it's a whopping 1,000kg! Brabus has modified its chassis by reinforcing the springs, stabilizers and shock absorbers, frame reinforcements, upgrading braking system, wheels with increased load-bearing capacity, and a special run-flat tyre system.

It uses the finest leather and Alcantara, as well as exterior components and performance upgrades from Brabus’ catalog.

The B40S-800 performance kit for the G63 takes the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 to 789 horsepower and 1,000Nm of torque. It has an electronically limited top speed of 210kph but due to the extra weight it hits 100kph from 0 in 8.2 seconds.
