These hints include quad exhaust tips next to a rear diffuser, and a set of beefy blue brake calipers that are a signature of the Golf R.

Although no details have been divulged yet about the Golf R, it is safe to guess that the turbocharged engine sending power to all four wheels through a dual-clutch gearbox will have an output considerably above the 300 horsepower mark.

There are unconfirmed reports that the Golf R will debut this summer at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. If that doesn’t happen, it’s sure to be launched sometime later this year as a 2021 model.
