With 591 horsepower and a mean looking body, the Audi RS6 Avant is easily one of the hottest wagons available today. But, tuning companies just can’t seem to leave it as it is and the latest to have a go at giving it more muscle is ABT.

The Kempten-based tuner - who loves tweaking almost every model from Volkswagen Group – has given the Audi more power and a wilder looking body to create the RS6-R.

It had added several carbon fibre body parts such as a deep splitter at the front that wraps up and around the bumper and is accented by canards on each side.

Along the sides are straked vents behind the 22in wheels as well side sill extensions to match the bumper parts. The rear gets a unique spoiler and a pronounced diffuser finish to the bumper.

The 4.0-litre V8 gets a larger turbocharger, upgraded intercooler, unique exhaust and custom ECU tune to increase horsepower from 591 to 690 and 920Nm of torque which is up from 800Nm as standard.

Typically, the Audi RS6 sprints to 100kph in 3.6 seconds, but these modifications make ABT’s example reach the same mark in 3.2. ABT also adds its own coilover suspension system to improve handling.
