Dubai: How about eating out and doing a noble deed at the same time? Join in the #RamadanWishes campaign by seven restaurant chains in the UAE that have come together to raise Dh150,000 for Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Lebanese restaurant Azkadenya in Jumeirah, French café Dollayou and Texas De Brazil in Barsha, and all the outlets of California Pizza Kitchen, Panda Express, The Hummingbird Bakery and Yo! Sushi in the UAE, will collectively raise the money to contribute to Make-A-Wish UAE on behalf of their customers.

Diners at any of these restaurants will be asked to add a small amount as their donation towards the bill. The participating restaurants are part of the food and beverage company Gourmet Gulf.

The amount will then be sent to Make-A-Wish at the end of the holy month. “Uniting across this important cause allows us to share the true spirit of Ramadan, while we do our bit,” said Stewart Black, CEO at Gourmet Gulf.

Make-A-Wish is the world’s largest wish-granting organisation, serving children in nearly 50 countries on five continents. Since its inception in the UAE in 2010, the Make-a-Wish Foundation has been fulfilling the wishes of children suffering from critical and life-threatening diseases.
