DUBAI: A new school offering dual curricula is set to open in Al Barsha South on September 10.

The Global Indian International School (GIIS), part of Global Schools Foundation (GSF) network of schools, will offer International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) along with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) based programmes. GSF, headquartered in Singapore, has 13,000 students in 21 institutions across seven countries. In the UAE, they have a campus in Abu Dhabi as well. GIIS Dubai will be able to accommodate 1,800 students.

Admissions open

Admissions are currently open for sessions starting September 2017 & April 2018.

Initially, GIIS Dubai will start classes for Pre KG and KG students. The classes will be taught in the school’s own Montessori-based ‘Global Montessori Plus (GMP)’ programme. In April 2018, the school will launch classes from Grade 1-5. The campus is located on a seven-acre plot at the intersection of Al Khail Road and Hessa Street in Al Barsha South. The built-up area of the facility is around 270,000 square feet. “From a location point of view, Al Barsha South is strategic. We are hoping our schools will serve New Dubai communities like The Greens, Barsha Heights, Discovery Gardens, Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), Emirates Living,” said Ramesh Mudgal, principal, GIIS Dubai.
