ABU DHABI: Nearly 160 universities from over 20 countries will take part in the 11th edition of Najah Abu Dhabi, UAE’s leading university fair.

To be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from October 25 to 27, the 2017 edition is touted to be the largest in the history of Najah and is expected to attract over 16,000 visitors.

Participating countries include USA, Lebanon, Pakistan and Japan with Canada being featured for the first time.

“Najah constitutes an ideal platform for young people to network and join the best educational institutions in the country and abroad,” said Tamer Nahas, exhibition director.

Activities galore

A dedicated Knowledge Zone will host seminars on educational challenges and ways to tackle them.

In line with the UAE’s Year of Giving, a charity book drive will be conducted where students, teachers and visitors can donate their old books.

This year will also see infotainment programmes which include various play-offs, activities by IMG World theme park and a mystery game by Escape Hunt. Meanwhile the Canadian Ambassador to the UAE, Masood Hussain, expressed his pride at introducing institutions from Canada for the first time at the anual fair.

“Canada is renowned for its quality education. Each of our 10 provinces and three territories has a new adventure in store for students. Studying in Canada is a rewarding investment in their future with access to premier education, state of the art facilities, exciting cross-cultural experiences and a globally recognised degree,” he said.
