Sharjah: If you have a great business idea and need help to make it happen, then the second edition of Sharjah’s flagship Sheraa Accelerator Programme may be just the thing for you.

Aspiring entrepreneurs have until this month end to submit their ideas for the three-month programme which will be launched in October. Selected startups will be supported with equity-free seed funding of up to $10,000, (Dh36,600), free Sharjah trade license, rent-free office space at Sheraa, expert mentorship, legal assistance, and access to contracts in private and government sectors.

Sheraa is committed to supporting teams that possess the drive and ambition to scale their disruptive business models, and develop them into success stories with global socio-economic impact,” said Najla Al-Midfa, general manager at Sheraa

Sheraa - Sharjah’s official entrepreneurship centre - is based at the American University of Sharjah.

Empowering startups

Ten startups across various sectors including sustainable technology, art and design, Arabic content, education and community development benefited from the accelerator programme in its inaugural edition.
