ABU DHABI If you are not a pilot but have always wanted to know how it feels to fly a plane, here’s your chance.

Dream Aero Abu Dhabi has set up the first flight simulation centre for the Boeing 737NG at Yas Mall.

Located on the first floor of the mall, the centre has a Boeing 737 NG simulator cockpit.

The cockpit has fully functional aircraft panels, systems, avionics and controls, including glass cockpit instrument displays, Flight Management Computers (FMC), Autopilot Flight Director System (AFDS) and a weather radar. A 210° curved High Definition screen displays over 24,000 airports worldwide.

Take-off time

The simulator hosts four persons: an instructor as a first officer, a guest in the captain’s seat and two observers.

The guest pilot can choose to take off and land at any airport.

With the flick of a button, they can experience day or night flying options and turbulent weather conditions like snow, wind or rain.

The guest pilot can even opt for aircraft emergencies like engine failure or fire hazards.

The recommended times per session are from 30 to 60 minutes so that customers can fully enjoy every moment while flying to the chosen destination.

Apart from the fun of flying, the Dream Aero is beneficial for pilots going for assessment tests and people sufferinbg from aerophobia (fear of flying).

Prices start from Dh750 for a 30-minute session.
