Dubai: Newly enrolled students across Dubai universities will be accorded a grand welcome over the next two weeks at a special event being organised at Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) and Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV).
The event – Week of Welcome (WoW) – will be held at DIAC from February 15 to 17 and DKV from February 22 to 24 to allow freshers to come together and network with the student community in a fun and relaxed environment.
Open to all students in Dubai, it provides a platform for high school students to explore options in higher education and witness firsthand what an international college lifestyle is about. Participants will be given access to various campuses of colleges based in DIAC and DKV. The event will allow newcomers to familiarise themselves with the campus layout and the facilities provided therein.
Sponsored by event management company Future Amusement, WoW will also host a series of activities, including games, fashion shows, music, dance and photo contests to help students mingle and settle in. “WoW is always an entertaining event and the students get to know more of what to expect from the campus,” said Khalid Bushaquer, CEO of Future Amusement.
