Dubai Majid Al Futtaim officially opened its latest shopping mall, City Centre Me’aisem, on Tuesday in Dubai’s International Media Production Zone (IMPZ).

The mall, located near the intersection of Al Khail Road and Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road, features 56 retail outlets and will serve more than 11 residential communities.

According to the developer, the new City Centre is already catering to 105,000 residents living in the area.

“The mall is located in the growth corridor of Dubai and we know there is a growing population in IMPZ with a number of new residential and office towers,” said Michael Cesarz, Chief Executive Officer – Shopping Malls Business Unit, Majid Al Futtaim Properties.

Besides the 8,555 square metre Carrefour Hypermarket, other anchor tenants at shopping centre include Magic Planet, Centrepoint, H&M, Sun&Sand Sport and Max. The mall also has five casual dining restaurants, two fast food joints, three cafes and chocolate confectionary shops. There are 750 parking spaces allocated in the mall.

Second City Centre Clinic

The mall will also be home to Majid Al Futtaim’s second City Centre Clinic in Dubai which will offer complimentary GP and paediatric consultations in the first two weeks of opening.

Residents in IMPZ said they are delighted to finally have a mall in the area.

“I have been waiting for the City Centre to open. All this while I have been doing my weekly shopping from Ibn Battuta or Mall of the Emirates. Now I can just walk across to Carrefour,” said Jeannette Mario, a Lago Vista resident.
