ABU DHABI: Are you a travel junkie with £100,000 (Dh530,083) to spare? Then you could get behind the wheel of a Range Rover for a once-in-a life time road trip spanning five continents.

Dubbed the most luxurious road trip on earth, the 21-day adventure will start in Europe and take participants along the twisting mountain roads of Monaco, the breathtaking vistas of the Italian lakes, a day drive through the Atlas Mountains, helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and a desert drive through Utah, to mention a few.

Launched by Land Rover and luxury travel partner Abercrombie and Kent to mark the launch of the Range Rover SVAutobiography – a variant of the British manufacturer’s luxury model line, the trip will pass through eight countries and nine of the world’s best hotels.

“We set out to design a trip worthy of the ultimate luxury SUV. From Europe to Australia, this trip is all about the epitome of luxury but done so in a Land Rover way – the unexpected, the off-the-beaten-track and the once-in-a-lifetime experiences,” Mark Cameron, Land Rover experiential marketing director, at Jaguar Land Rover said.

Customisable

Simon Lynch, director of business development, Abercrombie and Kent, said the expedition will have travellers explore landscapes, see wildlife and meet communities.

Starting at £100,000 per person, the trip is fully customisable according to the participant’s preferences. Bookings are available through Abercrombie and Kent’s bespoke boutiques located in Abu Dhabi, Harrods London and Monaco, as well as via online enquiries.

Accommodation for the first leg includes Four Seasons Cap Ferrat, the Villa D’Este overlooking Lake Como and the San Lorenzo Mountain Lodge in the stunningly beautiful and remote Italian Dolomites. The second leg of the trip sees guests fly to Marrakech and drive in the region take in the arid desert around Ouarzazate, and a route up into the Atlas Mountains.

The Arizona desert is the destination for the third part of the trip, as participants fly in to experience the one-of-a-kind Amangiri resort in Utah. The fourth leg sees guests take an overnight flight to Chile to experience the Atacama Desert – the driest non-polar desert in the world. The driving excursions in the area are some of the most epic on earth and include a day drive to the Alamo Observatory, a £1 billion telescope that can see the ‘beginning of time.’

An overnight flight to Sydney marks the final part of the trip, complete with a VIP bridge climb and behind-the-scenes access to the landmark Opera House.

The dates of the trip are expected to be anounced shortly.
