35-years-old Thamer Saeed Salman died in a motor-bike accident

Dubai: Thamer Saeed Salman, Vice-President of Ajman University of Technology, died on Friday in a tragic accident, close friends said.

Thamer Saeed Salman, who was 35-years old, was involved in a motor-bike accident. He was pronounced dead at Tuwam Hospital on Friday evening.

"He was a great friend and a brilliant educator who managed to take the university to another level," said a friend.

Thamer Saeed Salman was also known for his role in helping a great number of needy students finish their college education at the Ajman University of Technology, founded by his father Saeed Salman, the former minister of education, by offering full scholarships to those who couldn't afford the fees.
"We will miss him," the friend added.
