Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received phone calls from various Arab Kings and leaders who offered their condolences on the death of UAE martyrs.

Egyptian president

Shaikh Mohammad received a phone call from Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi, who expressed his heartfelt condolences on the death of Emirati soldiers who martyred in the defence of Yemen, unity of its lands and for the safety of its people.
Al Sisi said that the Emirati soldiers have set an example for courage and the defence of Arab lands, and reaffirmed the meaning of sacrifice as a trait for Arab soldiers defending their nations. Shaikh Mohammad thanked Al Sisi for the phone call and his condolences.

Qatari Emir

Shaikh Mohammad also received condolences from Qatari Emir Shaikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. During a phone call, Shaikh Tamim expressed his heartfelt condolences to Shaikh Mohammad on the death of Emirati soldiers performing their national duty during Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.

Shaikh Tamim offered his condolences to the UAE leadership, government, people and the families of the soldiers.

Gulf leaders

Shaikh Mohammad also received calls from Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, President of Yemen, Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Khalid Bahah, Yemen’s Vice President.
They expressed their heartfelt condolences to the UAE leadership, government and people, and the families of the martyrs.

GCC Secretary General


Dr Abdul Latif Al Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), mourned the death of Emirati, Bahraini, Saudi and Yemeni martyrs who sacrificed their lives during a military operation carried out by the Saudi-led Arab coalition.

Al Zayani said that the sacrifice of the soldiers will remain a symbol for sacrifice and solidarity with the people of Yemen. He stressed that the participation of the GCC Armed Forces in the Arab Coalition and Operation Restoring Hope is for defending the legitimacy in Yemen and to return the country to a state of security and stability.
Al Zayani expressed the GCC’s determination and resolve to continue supporting the efforts of the Yemeni people to restore the country’s authority and defeat the forces carrying out the coup in order to free the people of Yemen from the tyranny of these forces.

Al Zayani expressed his condolences to UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and their respective governments, and to the families of the martyrs.
