Occupied Jerusalem: The UAE’s Humanitarian Appeal International (HAI) has distributed thousands of iftar meals at Al Aqsa Mosque, and 10 tonnes of food supplies to underprivileged families in towns and displaced people in camps in Palestine.

Ebrahim Rashid, Director of HAI’s Office in the West Bank, said that the project is one of many implemented to mark Zayed Humanitarian Work Day. He added that so far, food supplies have been distributed to provinces in Nablus, Bethlehem, Qalqilya and Ramallah, with the cooperation of local associations and committees.

Shaikh Omar Al Kiswani, Director of Al Aqsa Mosque, said that the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan will always be in the prayers of people at the mosque. The heads of the committees who participated in the meal distribution also expressed their thanks and appreciation to the UAE, its leadership and charities, which operate in the country to provide support to the Palestinian people.
