Hyderabad:Even as the fate of Telangana continues to hang in balance and politicians play their games, two more people have committed suicide in protest over the delay in formation of separate state.

Naresh Chandra, a 21 year old engineering student became the latest victim of suicide wave. The young man, who hanged himself in his house in Karmanghat area of Hyderabad left a note behind saying he was taking the extreme step as he had lost hope of formation of state. “AT least my death should lead to the formation of the state”, he said in the note recovered by the police from his room.

He also appealed to the TRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao to achieve the goal of separate state with out calling for strikes as they were disrupting the civic life.

Naresh Chandra hails from Mehbubnagar district of Telangana and was studying in private engineering college in Hyderabad.

His family came to know of his suicide as he sent a message over mobile to two of his relatives before hanging from the ceiling.

This was second such incident during last 24 hours. 45 year old G Ramulu of Rajapet in Nalgonda district killed himself by jumping in front of a speeding bus near Bhongir town yesterday. He also left behind a letter saying he was frustrated and disappointed by Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde breaking his promise of announcing a solution to Telangana by January 28. “I am committing suicide as now I know that Telangana state will not be formed”, he wrote in the letter recovered from his pocket.

Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Kodanda Ram said that three supporters of Telangana have committed suicide during last three days. “So far more than nine hundred students and youth of the region have laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana. It is unprecedented in the history. People are killing themselves in such a large number but the rulers are unmoved”, he said.

Meanwhile in the continuing spate of booking cases against each other by the supporters and opponents of Telangana, a BJP leader has filed a case in a local court against Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Satish Agarwal has moved a petition in Malkajgiri magistrate court in Ranga Reddy district alleging that Sonia Gandhi was responsible for large number of suicides by making false promises of formation of Telangana state. He demanded that the cases should be booked against Sonia Gandhi under section sections 120B, 306 and 420.

Several cases have also been booked against the proponents of Telangana including Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K Chandrashekhar Rao and TJAC Prof Kodanda Ram by the opponents of Telangana state.

Samaikhya Andhra student Joint Action Committee has lodged a complaint with police in Vishakhapatanam against KCR and Congress MP Ponam Prabhakar alleging that they insulted Andhra women in their speeches. Another complaint was lodged with the police in Kadapa district against KCR for his alleged insulting remarks against the Prime Minister.

A Congress MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy has also booked a case against KCR with Gandhinagar police station in Hyderabad seeking his arrest.

Meanwhile Telangana Advocates have booked a case against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and MLA Jayaprakash Reddy for their comments against KCR.

Police officials in Hyderabad were also seeking legal opinion whether action cane be taken against KCR for his speech at the rally of Telangana supporters on Monday.

Prof Kodanda Ram threw a challenge to the Chief Minister to get him arrested. “The day you want to arrest me, I will come to your residence. Get me arrested and see what happens then”, he said.

“It is foolishness if somebody thinks that by arresting us Telangana movement can be crushed”, he said.
