Sharjah: Two Asian men were killed and four others injured early Monday morning after their vehicle collided with a truck, police said.
The police operations room received a call at 2am about the accident.
The police said the accident occurred due to speeding and lack of attention, which caused the car to crash into a truck on Al Dhaid-Maliha Road.
Six Asians, from one family, were travelling in the vehicle. Two of them, aged 54 and 42, died on the spot. Four others, aged 22, 32, 60 and 25, sustained moderate injuries, the police said.
The injured were transferred to Al Dhaid Hospital for treatment.
The truck driver was taken into custody for interrogation.
