Sharjah: There is only one day left for safe drivers in Sharjah to be spotted by the Porsche RoadStar campaign, as it ends on Thursday.

Ten safe drivers were awarded on Wednesday in Sharjah during the first day of RoadStar’s campaign there. This is the 32nd edition of the Porsche RoadStar campaign, which has been held biannually since 1998.

The ten winners of the fourth day were Mohammad Suhail Butt and Babu Jan from Pakistan, Yousuf Al Rousi from the UAE, Ameen Allah Aman Allah from Afganistan, Miriam Gruhn from Germany, Salwa Al Khudairi from Saudi Arabia, Taleb Al Haj from Mauritania, Dinara Tulyaganoua from Uzbekistan, Rawan Muhjazi and Manoun Zakariya from Syria.

A total of 37 people have been rewarded till now.

The campaign, which runs for five days, promotes safe driving and rewards drivers who adhere to traffic rules in the strictest sense, by giving them Dh1,000 and an appreciation certificate endorsed by the police of the emirate.

The campaign ran in Dubai from October 19-21 and is currently in Sharjah today and tomorrow.

A total of Dh50,000 will be given away as incentives for drivers during the campaign to continue with their safe driving habits and also encourage other road users to follow suit.

The five-day campaign is Organised by Ciel events and sponsored by Porsche Centre Dubai, Al Nabooda Automobiles, and co-sponsored by RSA Insurance, Mobil 1, Gulf News and Radio 2. Tha campaign is also made possible by Emirates Motor Sports Federation in association with Dubai Police and Sharjah Police.
