Kalba: Kalba Civil Defence rescue teams saved a horse that plummeted into a water-filled well in the compound of its owner in Kalba on Tuesday morning.

Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, told Gulf News that the civil defence operation room received a call at about 5:30am from an Emirati man who reported that his horse fell in the waterwell in his house.

The rescue operation was carried out in cooperation with Kalba Municipality, with rescuers using a hoist and pulley to lift the horse to a safer ground.

The horse was tied in a rope inside the house but the rope was loosed  and then the horse roam in the garden, then fell into the well of water. The team lifted the horse up to the safety.

The rescue operation took only ten minutes. The horse was unharmed, Col. Al Naqbi said.
