Dustin Johnson, Captain of the 4Aces GC shot a final round of three under par 67, to then go on and win the sudden-death three-man play-off with a birdie on the 18th to win for the first time in 2023 the Individual Event in the $25 million LIV Golf Tulsa at Cedar Ridge Country Club, Oklahoma, US.

Starting the final round with a two-shot lead from tee one in this shotgun start, he eased into his day with birdies on holes 2, 5 and 6 along with six pars.

A triple bogey on hole 10 looked like tripping up the 38 year-old two-time major winner. He then bounced back immediately with a birdie on hole 11 plus further birdies on holes 14 and 18.

This tied him at the top of the leaderboard at 17 under par alongside Cameron Smith, who also birdied 18 for a 61, and Branden Grace shooting a 65.

Smith was on the range waiting, having already birdied the 18th, tying the LIV record that Grace set in the opening round. Grace two-putted from 35 feet on the final hole, which put him in a playoff and assured his South African Stinger GC its first team win of the year.

The victory was Johnson's second since he joined LIV Golf a year ago. He also won outside Boston in a three-man playoff and lies sixth in the season long standings and earns $4 million for this week’s victory.

Talor Gooch, coming off two straight LIV Golf victories, played before his home state crowd in Oklahoma. He finished in a tie for 36th.

Lee Westwood withdrew before the final round, saying he injured his left leg during a lengthy run on the treadmill. He is not in the US PGA Championship next week and expects to be ready for the next LIV event.

Dubai based Anirban Lahiri shot a final round of 65 to go along with his first two rounds of 67 and 69 to finish on 10 under par in tied 11th place with his Crushers GC Team finishing in fourth place on 34 under par six behind the Team champions.

The next event on the LIV Golf Tour is in Washington DC May 26th – 28th at Trump International Golf Club.
