Shaikh Mohammad at Dubai World Cup reception

Ruler attends event at JBR beach to mark start of horse-racing event

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended a reception in Jumeirah Beach Residence beach on Thursday, marking Dubai World Cup, which will begin on Saturday.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, was present.

The reception included musical performances, a horse show, a fireworks display and torch-bearing march.

Shaikh Mohammad exchanged greetings with guests attending reception, and spoke with them about the highly anticipated races in Meydan. Shaikh Mohammad wished them a pleasant stay.

The reception was attended by key partners and sponsors, businessmen, and horse racing enthusiasts. Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Meydan, was also present at the reception.
