Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hamid Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court honoured 20 companies and corporations that won the 13th edition of the Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Awards (SKEA) during a ceremony held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday.

The awards ceremony, was held under the patronage of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, organised by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Shaikh Hamed praised the winning bodies, institutions, and companies as the award services as an incentive to inspire them to strive for greater accomplishments in future.

The ceremony was attended by Nasser Ahmad Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Energy Authority; Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Health Authority; Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs; Younus Haji Al Khouri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance; Abdullah Nasser Al Suwaidi, Director General of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company; and a number of ambassadors.

Among the winning companies and organisations was Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) Dubai’s flagship Free Zone business, which won the diamond category.

Deep commitment

Salma Ali Saif Bin Harib, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World said: “We are honoured and proud to win the prestigious Shaikh Khalifa Excellence Award this year. The award reinforces our deep commitment to service excellence, which results in higher productivity, greater value to customers, people and ultimately to the society and the country.”

Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Chairman of the award’s Higher Committee, said: “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammad for their continuous and generous support, and to the SKEA esteemed panel of evaluators for honouring our timeless pursuit of excellence and recognising our adherence to professional best practices”.

The winning companies also include Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (Adco), Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (Adib), National Gas Shipping Company (Ngsco), and Abdu Dhabi National Tanker (Adnatco).
