The third round of the 18th GCC clubs league winners championship currently being held at Qattara stadium will conclude this evening with a single game between leaders Al Ain and Al Ittihad of Qatar.

Hosts Al Ain are on top of the standings with six points after beating west Rifa'a from Bahrain in the opening match 2-1 and edging Salmiya of Kuwait in the second encounter by the same margin.
Their rivals have three points from two matches after they were surprised by Dhofar of Oman and humiliated the Bahraini side 4-1 on Saturday.

Both teams are set ready for this decisive clash following two training sessions. Al Ain players are in their best condition physically and technically. A win today will help them to make a good step towards the title for the first time in the history of the championship.

All the Al Ain squad players expressed their determination to continue their successive march. The team is backed by a big crowd of supporters who are expected to pack the Qattara stadium this evening.

On the other hand Bosnian coach Fazlack Mirsad of Al Ittihad of Qatar said that he is prepared to face the strongest team in the tourney. He hailed their opponent's performance against the Kuwaiti side. "We are looking for another three points to strengthen our stand and increase our hopes in the competition. But if we lose today our hopes will be dashed."
