Dubai: The chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue’s board of management met a delegation from the University of Geneva to discuss exchange programmes for students and scholars in the Arab world and the university.

Dr Hanif Hassan Al Qasim, chairman of the Geneva Centre’s Board of Management, met a delegation from the University of Geneva. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Centre and the University, especially in the areas of research, training, and organiing joint activities regarding global dialogue and the promotion of human rights.

A framework of cooperation will be concluded in specific areas such as the exchange of experience in the field of research and studies, exchange programmes of students and scholars between universities in the Arab world and the University of Geneva.

The Geneva Centre will participate in the workshops and seminars organised by the University of Geneva, as well as in the projects and activities aiming at protecting human rights and promoting the culture of tolerance.

It was also agreed that the Centre will be considered one of the key partners in the international “bridge” project hosted by the University. A number of prestigious research institutions at the Swiss and international levels will take part in this forum in order to interact, learn, and provide information on issues.
