Los Angeles: A 4.7 magnitude earthquake jolted southern California near the border with Mexico early Tuesday, US seismologists said, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The US Geological Survey said the quake, which struck at around 1055 GMT, had a depth of four kilometers and was centered 12 miles (19 kilometres) southwest of Seeley, California and about 69 miles east of Tijuana, Mexico.
Earlier this month, a 7.2 magnitude quake shook northwestern Mexico, killing two people and rocking buildings as far away as Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas and Phoenix, Arizona in the United States.
