Sex-on-the-sly staffers suspended from college
Two senior members of staff have been suspended from a higher education college after allegations they repeatedly had sex on the premises.
London: Two senior members of staff have been suspended from a higher education college after allegations they repeatedly had sex on the premises.
Carshalton College in Sutton has launched an internal investigation after a man and a woman were allegedly twice caught having sex, once by a student and a second time by a colleague.
It was claimed the first occasion was last month during a late-night French-themed awards dinner for staff.
The pair were apparently caught by a student in a classroom after they disappeared together.
It is alleged the couple were discovered a second time by a colleague in a manager's office one evening.
A college spokesman said: "The college can confirm two members of its staff have been suspended from duty pending an investigation into allegations made before Christmas."
One of them is said to be married with children, and the other unmarried. Both are said to hold senior management positions.
The college had 4,300 students in 2007-08, of which 1,500 were full-time students aged 16 to 18 and 720 adults.
