London Highly sensitive Metropolitan Police documents have been lost in a black cab in a new data protection blunder.
The papers, containing secret investigation details, were in a briefcase left in the back of the London taxi by an official from the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Despite intensive police efforts to retrieve the missing case, lost on Tuesday night, none of the documents has been found.
Officials refused to give details of which investigation the missing documents relate to but detectives described them as containing "sensitive" information. A spokesman for the IPCC on Saturday confirmed the loss.
