The RoadTour Child Friendly Driving Guide took five years to create and children were surveyed for their reactions to attractions.

The RoadTour Child Friendly Driving Guide took five years to create and children were surveyed for their reactions to attractions.
One youngster describes the Glyndebourne Opera in Lewes, East Sussex, as: "Old people's music that goes on for hours" and Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park is explained as: "Just a whole bunch of tourists taking pictures of nothing."
As well as highlighting nearly 3,000 places of interest, the guide offers information on opening times and entrance costs.
The electronic 'Totnav' can be downloaded to any existing satellite navigation system for £9.95 (Dh59).
Daniel Taylor, managing director of RoadTour, said: "Our system should see an end to miserable car journeys for the kids."
"There is a world of difference between what one person means by child-friendly and another. We have spent five years researching all the very best places to take children. These are places that make parents and their children feel welcome."
He gave one example of the commentary, for the approach to Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.
"Some of you may recognise Alnwick Castle as a film location for everything from Harry Potter to Elizabeth, Robin Hood, and Blackadder," it says.
