Manila: Jingle Luis, a 15 year old Filipina who suffered from an overly twisted club foot since birth, started learning how to walk flat on her soles after doctors removed the casts off her feet. She was operated on at the Bronx hospital in New York. "I can't believe it. It's almost 15 years since I could walk," Luis told GMA- 7 television.
The grateful teenager vowed to be a doctor or a nurse somebody.
Luis had the operation in New York last April and from May to June, doctors slowly rotated her feet a few degrees at a time.
During the surgery, doctors inserted screws into the bones of Luis's feet. The screws were then turned to align the deformed feet.
