Parachinar: At least nine people were killed when a suicide car bomber rammed his car onto another car through a bazaar in Parachinar town on Saturday, hospital officials said.

Thirty-five others were also wounded in the attack near the Afghan border and they were taken to hospital.

"According to our information, it was a suicide attack, and the body parts of the attacker are being collected," said Mohammed Kamal, a police official.

The attack came a day after US President George W. Bush sought to calm fears over the repeated threat by US officials that US forces could launch strikes on Al Qaida hideouts in Pakistan.
