Parties vow UK legal action against MQM
Opposition parties of Pakistan have decided to take legal action in a British court against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
Islamabad: Opposition parties of Pakistan have decided to take legal action in a British court against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain.
"Legal experts are being consulted to take up the issue of Altaf Hussain's subversive activities with the British government and courts with special reference to the Karachi massacre," opposition leaders told the newsmen after staging an anti-government protest here yesterday.
Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that he will highlight the atrocities of MQM against the innocent citizens of Karachi and realities of its leader Altaf Hussain in the British media and tell them how MQM's armed workers were wreaking havoc on Karachi.
Meanwhile, chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan Asma Jehangir, in a statement, urged the government to disarm MQM to bring back peace to Karachi.
