Islamabad: Pakistan is gearing up for Monday's general elections, with the Election Commission on Sunday delivering electoral materials under tight security.
Candidates for the national and provincial assemblies spent a hectic day with their workers to sort out voters' list and other strategies.
Political analysts have predicted a national assembly with no party having absolute majority to form a government.
Sources said that Asif Ali Zardari of the Pakistan Peoples Party had met with Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Saturday to discuss a plan in case of vote rigging in the elections.
"We have decided to prepare an action plan after the elections," Sharif told reporters.
Residents, meanwhile, have split opinions on the outcome of the elections.
