Pakistan's Musharraf to address nation
Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf will address the nation later on Monday, an official said. Musharraf is facing pressure to step down before he is impeached, but has shown no sign of stepping down.

- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has shown no sign of stepping down despite the ruling coalition drawing up impeachment charges against him.
Islamabad: Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf, who is facing pressure to step down before he is impeached, will address the nation later on Monday, an official said.
Presidential spokesman Rashid Qureshi would not say if Musharraf intends to announce his resignation.
Musharraf has shown no sign of stepping down despite the
ruling coalition drawing up impeachment charges against him.
A close aide of the president told Gulf News from Islamabad that Musharraf is ready to face impeachment charges and defend himself.
"President Musharraf is not scared of the impeachment process and has no plans to resign 'within days' as reported," his aide said.
He said the president is not going to "flee" the country nor seek asylum.
Meanwhile, Information Minister Sherry Rehman said the draft chargesheet has been finalised, which will be presented to the leaders of the ruling coalition meeting in Islamabad on Monday.
